The conflict in the Middle East has reached new levels of insanity, affecting even our otherwise mostly text-and-reason-oriented discussion list. But this is no time to shun political responsibility. In order to provide some space for the important political discussion on what can and should be done do return the warring parties to rhyme and reason, we invite your contributions here.
In a first statement of the problem, Michael Zank offers his thoughts on our responsibility to speak, despite the deluge of words and images already offered:
